USC Remains Strong With Corner

USC remains very interested in DB Keion Payne (6-0 165) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and he's showing equal interest in return. USC is one of 19 offers for the cornerback who had four interceptions and 13 breakups last season.

"I talked with coach (Jeep) Hunter a few nights ago," Payne said. "We just talked about playing style and everything about the school. He writes me on a daily basis. I think they are a great school and I can see myself there. There are a few schools I can see myself at."

Payne has not been to any camps this summer or taken any visits. He plans to narrow his list by the end of the summer and doesn't have favorites right now.

Some of his other offers are Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma State, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Florida State, Oregon and Ole Miss.
