DE Tavaris Barnes (6-5 250) of Jacksonville, FL made an unofficial visit to USC for the Florida game, and he will be back in the Palmetto State at least two more times as he plans to set official visits with the Gamecocks and Clemson.
Byrnes RB Marcus Lattimore (6-0 210) made an unofficial visit to USC for the Florida game and had another positive experience with the Gamecocks according to a source familiar with Lattimore's thinking. Lattimore has not talked to any reporters about his visit, and for that matter, has been unavailable for most of his senior season.
USC has become involved with OL Morgan Moses (6-7 320) of Fork Union Prep, VA, and he has set an official visit with the Gamecocks for December 4th. Moses is a native of Richmond, VA and he signed with Virginia last February. But with Al Groh's situation in Charlottesville up in the air, Moses has decided to check other options.
