KEY MOMENT: Patrick Mugan misses a 37-yard field goal on the Terriers only possession. Wofford has the ball for 16 plays and converts two third downs and a fourth down but comes away without points when the field goals sails wide right.
THE MAN: Aaron Scott intercepts Chris Smelley on the second play of the game. Smelley tries to hit Moe Brown but Scott drops into coverage for his first pick of the season.

Second Quarter

KEY MOMENT: Ben Widmyer makes the Gamecocks pay when they play the option wrong. Two players cover the pitch guy, but Widmyer cuts it up and outraces the USC defense for a 50-yard touchdown.
THE MAN: Brian Maddox scores his first career touchdown on a 7-yard run, capping a six-play, 71-yard drive. He carries the ball on the drive’s final three plays.

Third Quarter

KEY MOMENT: Jordin Lindsey and Ladi Ajiboye combine to sack Widmyer on second down. It is the first sack the Terriers have allowed this season and leads to a punt that gives USC possession at midfield.
