USC's Nov. 8 home game vs. Arkansas will kick off at 1 p.m., the university said Tuesday night, not at 7 p.m. as previously announced.
No television coverage will be available for the game. USC on Monday had said pay-per-view coverage would be available.
“A lot of factors weighed into this decision,” said Athletics Director Eric Hyman said in a news release Tuesday night. “After looking at all of our options, we felt playing in the afternoon was the right thing to do.”
The Gamecocks (5-3, 2-3 SEC) will host Tennessee this weekend. That game begins at 7 p.m. and will be on ESPN2, while Arkansas (3-5, 1-4 SEC) hosts undefeated Tulsa in a non-conference game.
Arkansas leads the all-time series, 10-6, including wins in each of the last two meetings. The teams have split the previous eight games in Columbia evenly.
