THREE THINGS TO WATCH

The Gamecocks should get a pretty warm welcome back from the fans after their Friday win against No. 20 Baylor. Horn has received rousing ovations during introductions so far, but after the win against the Bears, it should be ratcheted up a notch tonight.

This will be USC's final nonconference tuneup, and possibly the last game without sophomore center Sam Muldrow. With the SEC opener against Auburn looming, the unstated goal for USC tonight will be to do no harm: No injuries, no drama.

Wofford's leading scorer, guard Junior Salters (17.3 points per game), missed Friday's game with an injury, and his status for tonight is unknown. The Terriers still played close at Navy without Salters, and a game prior to that the Terriers threw a scare into Georgia.

KEY PLAYER

G Zam Fredrick, USC

Fresh off hitting the game-winning shot at Baylor, the Gamecock senior should hit a milestone tonight. Fredrick is seven points away from 1,000 in his college career, counting his first two seasons at Georgia Tech.

BOTTOM LINE

The Gamecocks did what they had to do last week, getting at least one quality win. This week's task is to get two not-so-quality wins, by avoiding the trap against Wofford and then opening up SEC play well against Auburn.
