KEY MOMENT: Elizabeth Robertson made an uncontested layup with two seconds remaining for the win. She was free underneath the basket and Shantell Black threw a pass from the right corner that Robertson caught and laid in.
STAR OF THE GAME: Bianca Thomas scored a game-high 20 points and added nine rebounds, four steals and three assists. She made four of the Rebels season-high 10 3-pointers. She made 4-of-8 from long range and played a game-high 35 minutes.
POINT OF EMPHASIS: Mississippi was 0-for-9 from 3-point range in a loss to USC 17 days ago, but the Rebels hit seven 3’s in the first half and used an 18-2 run to take command. All six field goals were from beyond the arc during the run.
INJURIES: None reported, but Lakeisha Sutton missed time with an injured left hand before returning. Mississippi’s Kayla Melson had to be helped to the locker room before the half but returned in the second half.
