Women's basketball: No. 15 Fla. 82, USC 66

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Sha Brooks scored 24 points, Marshae Dotson added 18 and No. 15 Florida snapped a three-game skid Sunday.

Brooks was 5-of-7 from 3-point range and had six rebounds and eight assists. Her performance came on senior day, the home finale for Brooks, Dotson and fellow seniors Aneika Henry and Kim Critton.

The Gators (23-5, 9-4 SEC) were 10-of-19 from 3-point range and 18-of-21 from the foul line.

The Gamecocks (10-15, 2-10) were 3-of-23 from behind the arc, but cut a double-digit deficit to three, 43-40, early in the second half thanks to several of their 20 offensive rebounds.

Florida then pulled away behind Brooks and Dotson.

Lakeisha Sutton finished with 17 points for South Carolina, which lost for the 10th time in its past 12 games. Charenee Stephens added 12.

The Gamecocks will play their final regular-season road game on Thursday at Mississippi State (8 p.m.)
