USC picked up its third commitment in the past two days Saturday with a pledge Saturday from OL Mike Matulis (6-6 275) of Lake Worth, FL Matulis made an unofficial visit to USC Saturday and committed to Gamecock head coach Steve Spurrier and his recruiter Jeep Hunter.

"I really loved it," Matulis said. "I wanted to meet coach Spurrier and that meeting went well. I saw the facilities and met with coach Hunter and (OL coach) coach Elliott. Coach Elliott said he could see me playing there and is going to work me in there."

He also visited USC earlier this month and saw that the Gamecocks had a need for a player of his ability. "It feels really good (to commit), " he said. "I'm confident in my decision with no regrets. I'm happy with it."
