Kenny McKinley's second season with the Denver Broncos is over before it started.
The former South Carolina wide receiver was placed on injured reserve by the Broncos this week with a knee injury.
McKinley was primarily used on special teams last season. He played in eight games for the Broncos before injuring his knee on a kickoff late in the season.
McKinley was a fifth-round draft choice in 2009.
He holds USC records for single-season receptions (77), career receptions (207), career receiving yards (2,781) and consecutive games with a reception (43).
