One of the first players USC basketball coach Darrin Horn scouted after taking the job was 6-3 Damarcus Harrison of Greenwood. Earlier this week Harris spent a couple of days at USC at a team camp, so Horn got another close look.
"He had a pretty good camp," said Greenwood coach Hob Chandler. "They coaches down there really like him. Coach Horn really likes him as a player."
Harrison has not yet been offered. He's also drawing interest from Clemson, Auburn, Georgia and BYU. The Cougars could be real players for Harrison as he attends a Mormon church in Greenville. Harris averaged 17 points and 5 rebounds per game last season.
