DB Jonathan Meeks (6-2 193) of Rock Hill and Fork Union Prep, VA talked Wednesday night with USC recruiter Ron Cooper. "We just talked about the next time I can come see them play," said Meeks who attended the LSU-USC game. "I"m going to try to get there for the Tennessee or the Arkansas game."
Clemson also has offered Meeks and he talked with Tiger recruiter Billy Napier earlier in the week. "He wants me to come in for a game," Meeks said. "Both South Carolina and Clemson are showing strong interest. I'm not sure about official visits to them. It's a good chance but I don't know yet."
Meeks said while growing up in Rock Hill he really wasn't a true USC or Clemson fan. "I was kind of a bandwagon guy," he said. "It was who won the last game. I guess I leaned more to USC because of (former USC DB and Rock Hill native) Ko Simpson."
Meeks took and official visit to North Carolina last weekend and enjoyed the visit. He has not set any other visits but said the next trip would be to either Tennessee or Florida. He also has offers from NC State and Virginia Tech.
Never miss a local story.
Meeks plays free safety and has two interceptions this season. He is on track to graduate in December.
