Warthen: An intolerable failure to communicate

First, some sobering perspective: Some of you reading this will not have a job next month. As bad as things were through November, the bottom really dropped out in December. South Carolina lost another 22,000 jobs that month. Nationally, 2.5 million jobs were lost last year — the most since 1945 — and of those, 524,000 were lost in December alone.
