RB Marcus Lattimore (6-0 210) of Byrnes has decided to wait until National Signing Day to announce his decision. Lattimore had planned to announce during the Army All-American game but has since changed his mind.
He was in Columbia this weekend for junior day at USC on Saturday. He and his mother came in on Friday and stayed through the weekend. They both spent the weekend with his sister who is a current student at USC.
"I love it up there," said Lattimore but was clear that he does not have a favorite. Lattimore met with running backs coach Jay Graham and got to know him. "He talked to me about his college and NFL days and I got to learn a lot about him," he said. Lattimore says he likes Graham.
On Saturday, Lattimore went to the USC/Arkansas basketball game and said, "the students started chanting my name at halftime. That was pretty cool." Lattimore also got an opportunity to tour the facilities and meet the academic advisor while on campus. He stayed through Sunday to attend the High School Sports Report banquet.
He and his mother are planning an unofficial to Clemson next weekend. He plans to visit Georgia, Tennessee, LSU and North Carolina over the next couple of months as well. And he plans a return trip to Columbia for the USC spring game April 11th.
