USC receiver Dion LeCorn was being taken for X-rays Saturday after injuring his left leg on the final play of the spring game.
LeCorn was blocking near the goal line when tailback Jarvis Giles and a defender rolled on the back of his leg. LeCorn had tears in his eyes as the training staff immobilized his leg and carted him from the field.
Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier said LeCorn might have cracked a bone in the lower part of his leg.
In other injury news, free safety Chris Culliver had surgery to repair torn cartilage in his left shoulder Friday and should be able to resume physical activities in mid- to late-July, assistant head coach for defense Ellis Johnson said.
Never miss a local story.
Culliver was supposed to have surgery earlier this year, but had a reaction to the anesthesia and developed a blood clot in his arm.
