South Carolina forward Dominique Archie has decided to declare for the NBA draft, but not hire an agent, according to sources close to the player.
Archie, a redshirt junior, still plans to return to school for his final season of eligibility. But he wants to go through the process to get feedback on what he needs to improve on, according to the same sources.
The 6-foor-7 forward will become the second Gamecock to declare for the draft, joining point guard Devan Downey, who also does not plan to sign with an agent.
Archie averaged 10.9 points and 6.4 rebounds this season, when he was named honorable mention All-SEC by the Associated Press. He has started every game for the Gamecocks the past three seasons.
