OL Tramell Williams (6-2 260) of Jacksonville, FL says USC has the upper had right now. “I don’t want to say they’re my favorites,” said Williams. “I’ll just say they’re out front.” Williams was offered by the Gamecocks Monday morning. “Coach (Steve) Spurrier called me this morning and offered me,” he said. “It was a bit overwhelming talking to him but I kind of figured they might offer me. He spent an hour talking to me when he came to my school and told me he liked my film.”
Williams also has an offer from Vanderbilt and believes that Miami will offer soon. “They’ve been talking to me and I wouldn’t be surpised if they offer me.” Other schools he is hearing from are Florida, FSU, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, BC, Rutgers, and Clemson. Williams had 69 pancakes as a junior and 23 tackles on defense. He plans to visit USC, FSU, Florida, Miami, Georgia Tech, and Vanderbilt this summer. He likes Miami and their academics and believes they will be competing for national titles. He also likes USC and says Spurrier is excited about the future of the program.
