ATH Mario Jones (5-8 175) of Coffeyville JC in Kansas says USC is his favorite right now. Jones played at Myrtle Beach High School before going the junior college route. He graduates in December and will have four years to play three after red-shirting this past year.
He does not have any offers but is hearing from USC, TCU, and Marshall. He visited USC recently while home in South Carolina. "It was really nice," said Jones. "They have really nice facilities and everything you need to win, really."
He says USC is looking at him to play slot receiver and special teams. "I talked to Coach (Steve) Spurrier and he told about their situation at wide receiver. It'll depend on how many schollies are available."
Though Jones favors USC, he says he is originally from Florida and would also like to get back to his home state.
