ATH Sherard Cadogan (6-3 230) of Cherry Hill, NJ has put USC in his top five and says he is anxious to visit Columbia on an official.
"I definitely will take an official there," said Cadogan. "I've never been there so am really exicted about getting down there."
Cadogan says USC is looking at him on the defensive side of the ball. "They want me to play a hybrid position in the 3-4," he said. "I like that idea because I do something similar to that now."
He is also a big fan of G.A. Mangus. "Mangus has been recruiting me and is doing a good job," said Cadogan.
Never miss a local story.
He has over 25 offers including offers from USC, Michigan State, Minnesota, South Florida, East Carolina, Pitt, Wisconsin, and Temple. He says his top five are USC, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Pitt, and Penn State. "Penn State is showing a lot of interest but say they want to hold off on an offer. They want to get me in there for game," he said.
Cadogan did not name a favorite. As a junior, he had 11 sacks and four interceptions.
