USC is thin in numbers in the secondary and the Gamecocks may take a junior college prospect to help for next season. One player who is very interested in the Gamecocks is DB Kenronte Walker (6-1 207) of City College of San Franciso JC.
Walker is a native of Fayetteville, NC and will graduate in December with three years to play two. He's had some light contact from USC but to this point nothing serious.
"I would love to be a part of their program," Walker said. "I know some of the players on the team. If they were to show interest, I would be interested."
Walker has not been offered yet but said he is getting some solid interest from Missouri and Oklahoma State. "They want to see some early game film," he said.
Walker plays corner and safety. Last season he had 33 tackles and one interception.
