With a bevy of tall, lanky receivers, USC would like to bring in a smaller, faster receiver in their 2010 class. One guy they like for that role is WR Marquel Wade (5-10 180) of Jacksonville, FL.
Wade has scheduled an official visit with USC for November 13th. He talked with recruiter Steve Spurrier Jr. last Friday. "He was telling me he needs a receiver that can move like a Percy Harvin," Wade said. "He wants someone they can get the ball to quicker and faster. I'm real interested. They are real high, up there."
Wade has narrowed his decision to USC, Arkansas, South Florida and Georgia. He is scheduled for an official visit to Arkansas October 30th, and has one set with South Florida for November 20th. He's not sure if he'll take an official visit to Georgia. He does not have a favorite.
This season Wade has 16 catches for 175 yards and 2 touchdowns, and he's returned four kicks and/or punts for touchdowns.
