ATH Sherard Cadogan (6-3 230) of Cherry Hill, NJ had scheduled an official to USC this weekend but will be unable to make it.
"I want my parents to go with me so they can get a feel for the school and the campus," said Cadogan. "It's just a little too expensive right now and they really couldn't afford it. I'm going to talk to them and Coach (G.A.) Mangus and we will try and rescedule."
He says Mangus has also encouraged him to visit during the Clemson game. "He told me that it is a big weekend and I should come down, but we'll see," he said.
Cadogan is a little disappointed he cannot make the trip this weekend. "They're playing Florida and to get a chance to beat the number one team at your place would be really exciting," he said. "Most of the teams I'm looking at are Big Ten and Big East. USC has a fast defense and plays in the SEC. That whole league is fast and that's how I play. I wanted to get a feel for it."
Never miss a local story.
Cadogan says he is in no hurry to commit and has USC in his top five. He likes USC, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Pitt, and West Virginia and has visited each save USC. "Coach Mangus and (Steve) Spurrier are coming up to see me in December, I think, and I'll get a chance to talk with them more," said Cadogan. "It's a big decision and I want to involve my parents."
He did not name a favorite.
