LB Justin Parker (6-3 230) of Beaufort made his official visit to USC over the weekend and a decision from the Shrine Bowler may be coming sooner than later.
"He's getting tired of the recruiting process," Parker's brother Jeff, who was with him on the visit, said Sunday afternoon. "He won't make a decision before he goes to Clemson." That visit currently is scheduled for January 15th, but Jeff Parker said his brother is thinking about going to Clemson this weekend and will contact the Tigers about making that switch.
"South Carolina is still in the lead," Jeff Parker said. "The visit went really, really well. He loved it. The atmosphere was crazy, the loudest he's ever heard it, and he's been going there since his sophomore year. He spent a lot of time with the other (guys on) official visits. He talked a long time with coach Johnson. They want to use him like they use Norwood. They want to move him around. He runs well and they love that."
Justin Parker will be back at USC for the Clemson game. He has given some thought about visiting LSU, but that doesn't look likely at this point as the decision is basically between USC and Clemson.
Parker finished the season with 140 tackles with 12 tackles for loss and 7 sacks.
