Byrnes RB Marcus Lattimore (6-0 210) made an unofficial visit to USC for the Florida game and had another positive experience with the Gamecocks according to a source familiar with Lattimore's thinking. Lattimore has not talked to any reporters about his visit, and for that matter, has been unavailable for most of his senior season.
"He wants to focus on his high school season," the source said. "He doesn't talk a lot about it. He's not making a big deal about it."
Lattimore has taken several unofficial visits to USC over the past two years, and he plans to be back in Columbia for the Clemson game. Because he's been to USC so much, he doesn't plan to take an official visit there, and the source said Lattimore probably won't change that.
Lattimore has taken official visits to Auburn and Penn State. He is scheduled for Oregon January 15th, North Carolina on the 22nd and Georgia on the 29th.
Auburn coaches have let Lattimore know they plan to scout him at the state championship game should Byrnes be in it.
