DL Kyle Woestmann (6-4 245) of Marietta, GA has been a Vanderbilt commitment since the spring, but in the past week or so Clemson and USC have been in touch with him. The result is an unofficial visit to Clemson for the Virginia game, and an unofficial visit to USC for the Clemson game, and still a pretty solid commitment to the Commodores.
"Vanderbilt is still my #1 school and it's still the place I'm going," Woestmann said. "I'm 98% sure that's wherre I'm going to be. Clemson was a lot of fun. I enjoyed it. It was just like going to any other big program."
Woestmann's parents went with him to Clemson and will join him at USC. "Their favorite is still Vandy," he said. "I just like their staff, the academics, the chance to play early and playing in the SEC." USC recruiter GA Mangus was at Woestmann's school last week. He is considering setting up official visits with Clemson and USC.
This season Woestmann had 26 tackles and 4 sacks. He only played five games on defense before being moved to the offensive line because of depth issues there.
