Two prospects from Spartanburgh High will attend USC's junior day Saturday and a third will be at Alabama according to Vikings coach Freddie Brown. Headed to USC will be OL Stephen Grommer (6-4 292) and DE Tre' Kelly-Rice (6-2 235).
Grommer will be a three year starter this season. "He has great feet, is strong and athletic," Brown said. Grommer has a brother who is 6-5, 310 who plays at Wofford, and his father is 6-6. He's also getting interest from Duke, Vanderbilt, Northwestern and UCLA.
Kelly-Rice is also getting interest from Illinois, Wisconsin and NC State. Last season he had 51 tackles with 4 sacks and 6 quarterback hurries. "He can move and has a great motor," Brown said. "He has very good hands coming off the ball. He has a great first step." Kelly-Rice can also play tight end and H-back.
DB Ronnie Martin (5-10 175) is one of the state's fastest players according to his coach. He plays corner and returns kicks. Last season he had 930 yards in returns with 4 touchdowns. He also had 44 tackles and 1 interception. "He's rangy and has great hips," Brown said. "He has good ball skills and his physical. And he has great closing speed." Martin also plays receiver.

He will go to Alabama Saturday and will go to North Carolina February 27th. He also plans to go to Miami for a spring practice. USC is also showing interest.
