DE/LB Ryan Shazier (6-2 201) of Plantation, FL has nine offers thus far including one from USC. The others are from Florida, FSU, Tennessee, Wisconsin, South Florida, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Oklahoma. He is also hearing from Clemson, Georgia, LSU, UCLA, and Miami among others.
He likes what he is hearing from USC. "I talk to Coach Jeep (Hunter) a lot and he says that they would like to use me as a hybrid, like they did with Eric Norwood," said Shazier. "He also told me that Steve Spurrier should still be there."
Shazier has not taken in any junior days and is waiting for the summer to visit schools. "My mom is sick so it's kind of hard to go right now," he said. "I'm going to make a top ten list and visit five of those schools. I'll save the other five for official visits."
As a junior, he had 87 tackles, 22 for loss, 19 1/2 sacks, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, one touchdown, and a blocked field goal attempt.
Shazier says he has no favorites and everyone is even with him right now.
