ABOUT THE SURVEY
The random telephone survey cited was conducted in December by Columbia's Metromark Market Research at the request of The State newspaper.
The surveyors questioned 570 Columbia area residents. 363 of whom live within the city limits. Only the views of the city residents are reflected today. The 363 sample size has a statistically acceptable sampling error of no greater than plus or minus 4.1 percentage points.
