6-7 Murphy Holloway was contacted Friday morning by Charleston Southern. That's the second school to contact Holloway since he got his release from Ole Miss. Coastal Carolina contacted him Thursday.
Holloway included USC and Clemson on his release list but Ole Miss did not release him to those schools. He plans to appeal that to an Ole Miss committee within the next two weeks. A source familiar with the appeal process said there's a much better chance Holloway would be cleared to go to Clemson than USC.
Holloway would prefer to go to one of the major programs in the state. USC does not have a scholarship to give Holloway for next season anyway, but would like him to apply for various grants and pay his own way to school for a year.
