RB Marcus Caffey (6-0 188) of Atlanta has already received several offers including one from USC. His other offers are from Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Illinois State, Kentucky, Tulane, and Minnesota. He is hearing from Clemson, NC State, Tennessee, and Illinois.
"I actually talked to Clemson today," said Caffey. "They were at my practice. I can't remember his name but I got a card." Caffey says he feels like he has a good chance of receiving an offer from the Tigers.
This summer, Caffey would like to visit both Clemson and USC. "I've always liked South Carolina," he said. "When I used to run track, I passed by their stadium and have liked them for a long time since. I like SEC football too."
His only junior day visit was to Georgia Tech and he says, "It was nice. I think it went pretty good."
Caffey is undecided on camps for the summer because he would like to speak with his parents and coaches before deciding. "I want to visit as many as schools as I can this summer," he said. "I think I'll have a pretty good idea by early summer."
As a junior, he rushed for over 800 yards and had 300 more receiving. He totaled seven touchdowns. This year, he will play corner back as well and says he is being recruited for both positions depending on the school.
Caffey has no favorites but says," I like South Carolina a lot."
