The four games previous to this homestand was against DelMarva, where Justin Dalles plays. Even though he was not able to play due to an injury, we were able to catch up and hang out for a little bit.
It was kind of funny, because it seemed like nothing had changed from college. We are still the same type of people that we were in college. I also got to the chance to see one of my other friends that lives about 2 1/2 hours away. Her parents and brother invited me out to dinner and we were able to catch up with each other.
As far as the games go, we won three out of four games and the team looked really good. We are starting to come around and everyone is starting to step up, which is resulting in wins.
The homestand has been against the Augusta Greenjackets, and so far we have won two out of three with one more game to go. Unfortunately I haven't been too lucky because I have no hits in three games. I have been able to hit some balls hard, but have nothing to show for it.
Never miss a local story.
It's funny how baseball works sometimes. You can hit a lot of balls hard but have no hits to show for it, and then you can get jammed to have a broken bat single. Even though I don't have any hits right now I'm confident that they will come and I will break out soon.
