DE Ray Drew (6-5 250) of Thomasville, GA has 23 offers including Clemson, USC, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida, Florida State, Alabama, North Carolina, Cal, LSU, Southern Cal and Notre Dame. He also has some schools which stand out more with him than the others. But he's going to keep that information to himself.
"I don't plan on coming out with it at all," Drew said.
Many recruiters have been thru his school including ones from Clemson, USC, LSU, Notre Dame, Southern Cal, Cal, Georgia, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, Illinois and Alabama. Drew said he's been called by USC recruiter Shane Beamer but has not been called yet by Clemson recruiter Chris Rumph.
Drew does have interest in Clemson and USC. "I really like coach Swinney and the coaches he's put together," Drew said of Clemson. "I'll keep my eye on them to the end."
Drew attended a USC spring practice and got a chance to meet with the head coach. "I met with coach Spurrier and he and his wife are real down to earth," he said. "It's a tight knit family on that team."
Drew said he will take all five of his official visits. He will play in the Army AA Game and the Aloha Prep Bowl. He said those games may force him to take his visits late and may push his decision past National Signing Day.
