6-10 LaRon Dendy, the former Greer standout who is transferring after one season at Iowa State, has talked with assistant coaches from Kentucky, Wake Forest and NC State according to his former AAU coach.
Frank Ballenger said he talked to Dendy Thursday and the player told him of the contact from those schools. Ballenger said Dendy gave him the number of the Kentucky assistant he’s talked to and asked him to call him.
Also, according to a source, there is interest in Dendy from USC.
Dendy played in 24 games at Iowa State last season averaging 16 minutes, 7 points and 4 rebounds per game. He will have to sit out next season and will have one year to play.
