DE Jadeveon Clowney (6-6 240) and DE Gerald Dixon (6-3 245) of South Pointe made unofficial visits to Clemson Thursday with their coach Bobby Carroll. They did not participate in the camp.
“They went to the West End Zone and Vickery Hall,” Carroll said. “They talked with coach Swinney. We were there from about 9:30-1:30. They didn’t work out. They’re going to try to visit as many schools as possible.”
From Clemson, the players were headed to Alabama where they will visit thru Saturday morning before returning home. Later this summer, they might visit Florida State and Miami. Carroll said they will try to get to as many of the schools which have invited them to visit.
Carroll said Clowney remains wide open regarding his recruiting and won’t narrow his list until the end of the summer. Dixon has been favoring USC.
