Democratic gubernatorial candidate Vincent Sheheen has released a new ad touching on a familiar theme from his campaign: Can voters trust Republican Nikki Haley?
The ad, entitled "Risk," talks about Haley's late tax payments and $40,000 in income she took from an engineering firm with state contracts. For the first time Sheheen raises questions about Haley calling a member of the Employment Security Commission to ask for a delay of an audit of her family's business.
Sheheen raised the issue at Monday's ETV debate.
The ad ends showing Sheheen with his family and in a business setting, saying he is is better qualified to lead S.C.
Haley, who has led in every public poll, has not created additional ads critical of Sheheen. Haley's closing message has been focused on her plans as governor.
