Richard district 1 schools will open with a 2 hour delay. Buses will pick up students two hours later than the normal pick-up times. Richland One employees should report to work two hours later than their normal work start times. (Note: January 13 was already designated as a delayed-start day for high school students on the district's 2010-11 academic calendar. The decision regarding Thursday's schedule means that all students and all employees (not just high school students) will report to school/work two hours later than their normal start times. School dismissal times will remain the same.)
Richland One's extended-day/after-school programs (21st Century Community Learning Centers, SCE&G Homework Centers, Athletic Tutorial and Comprehensive Remediation Program) have been canceled for Thursday; however, after-school child care programs will operate as scheduled. The Richland One Evening High School has canceled classes for Thursday. Evening High School students should report back to school on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 4:00 p.m.

PARENT/TEACHER conferences scheduled for Thursday will begin at 1 p.m. at Batesburg-Leesville Primary, Elementary and Middle Schools. Batesburg-Leesville High School faculty will have staff meetings. Staff should report to offices at 12:30 p.m. and work until 6:30 p.m.PARENT/TEACHER conferences scheduled for Friday will remain in place.
