A House lawmaker has introduced a bill creating a report card for Gov. Nikki Haley, R-Lexington.
State Rep. John King, Rock Hill, introduced the bill, which comes a week after Haley unveiled her report card for legislators.
Given that the House is overwhelmingly Republican and has supported the agendas of Haley and her predecessor and mentor, Mark Sanford, King's bill has little chance of passage.
Haley promised she would hold lawmakers accountable during the campaign. Her legislative report card grades will be based on supporting Haley's agenda, sustaining her vetoes, and votes for on-the-record voting, income disclosure and other good government reforms that Haley campaigned upon.
