Fire destroyed a home off North Main Street this morning.
Columbia-Richland Fire Service firefighters responding to the 4 a.m. call found a single-story brick house engulfed in smoke and flames, Chief Aubrey Jenkins said.
The fire completely destroyed the house at 1201 Colleton St., with damages estimated at $75,000.
The home was fully furnished and had power service, but might not have been occupied, Jenkins said.
There were no injuries reported.
The Richland County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the fire. No cause was known this morning.
North Main Street was closed as fire crews worked on the fire, but reopened just before 7 a.m.
