The Carolina Panthers will play both participants of Super Bowl XLVII during their 2013 season.
Already slated to play San Francisco during the regular season, the Panthers will travel to Baltimore on Thursday, Aug. 22 to play the reigning champion Ravens in a game televised by ESPN.
The game is slated to start at 8 p.m., and it will be the Panthers’ third game of the preseason. Carolina is 3-1 all time against the Ravens, who won the last meeting 37-13 in 2010.
Carolina opens the preseason on Friday, Aug. 9 by playing host to Chicago. It will be the third time the Panthers, led by coach (and former Bear) Ron Rivera, have played the Bears in either the regular season or preseason.

The Panthers will travel to Philadelphia on Thursday, Aug. 15. After the Ravens’ game the following week, the Panthers will close out the preseason with a home game against Pittsburgh, with the date to be determined.
The game times of the other three games is also to be determined and will be broadcast on WCCB-TV locally.
