Barry Manning’s three free throws in the last 24 seconds of overtime lifted Carolina to its first win against a ranked team on the road in 14 years.
The Gamecocks defeated #16 Tennessee 83-81.
It looked hopeless for Carolina as they trailed the Vols by 14 with 7 ½ minutes left. But USC stormed back, setting the stage for Terry Dozier, who hit a 3-pointer from the left corner with eight seconds left to send the game to OT.
Carolina held on to win in OT, thanks in large part to Manning’s late free throws.
