Carolina used a devastating second-half shooting performance to crush the hated Clemson Tigers 93-71 in Clemson.
It was a tale of two halves as the Gamecocks struggled mightily in the first half, trailing by as many as 13, and were down 46-37 at halftime. Clemson’s George Zatezalo torched USC for 27 first-half points.
The second stanza was a different story, as Carolina lit up the nets at a 62 percent rate, outscoring Clemson 56-25 in the process. USC held an amazing 35-15 rebounding margin as well.
Skip Harlicka, Frank Standard, and Gary Gregor each chipped in 21 points in the victory.
