Carolina hammered the Manhattan Jaspers 116-78 at the Carolina Coliseum. This was the third-most points ever scored by a Gamecock team. The man of the hour was Danny Traylor, who had an incredible night. Traylor scored 37 points, grabbed 20 rebounds and blocked 6 shots!
This game also started an impressive streak. The Gamecocks would not lose a game at the friendly confines of the Carolina Coliseum until February 14, 1974. This would be the longest home winning streak ever for USC, covering an amazing 34 games.
