The South Carolina men’s basketball team beat Arkansas 81-74 in overtime on Wednesday.
In the preview of the game, we looked at how the Gamecocks and Razorbacks have done so far this season with field goal percentage and defense, three-point percentage and defense, and offensive rebounding.
Arkansas had a better field goal percentage than South Carolina, but the Gamecocks took more shots, and therefore made more baskets.
USC’s three-point percentage was only slightly better than Arkansas’, but, once again, the Gamecocks took more shots, and made more than twice as many as the Razorbacks. In fact, South Carolina almost doubled Arkansas’ total number of three-point shots allowed for the year, as the Razorbacks had only allowed nine for the season before Wednesday.
South Carolina also did much better at offensive rebounds; the Gamecocks had more than twice as many as Arkansas.
