Some readers have questioned why last Sunday's debut of a series about a West Columbia mother of two getting help from a financial planner did not include some additional information about her family.

Mary Beth Henry is divorced and receives $175 a week in support that pays for child care.

The information was not included because it was not addressed during her initial meeting with the planner.

Follow Mary Beth's story along with an advice blog from financial planner Neil Brown at thestate.com/less.

If you have questions for Neil or about the series, send an e-mail to ashain@thestate.com.
