Tours of Historic Columbia's house museums
WHEN: Now through Jan. 3. Individual house tours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the top of every hour.
WHAT: Tours available at the decorated Robert Mills House, Hampton-Preston Mansion and Mann-Simons Cottage
TICKETS: $6 adults, $3 youth. Call for group rates.

Candlelight and carriage tours of Historic Columbia's house museums
WHEN: 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday
WHAT: Candlelight tours of the Robert Mills House. Costumed guides will lead tours and provide stories of 19th century holiday preparations. After the lantern tour, visitors can tour the historic garden district on a horse-drawn carriage.
TICKETS: Lantern tours are $10 for adults, $5 for children and free for Historic Columbia members. Carriage rides are $5 per person.

Governor's Mansion Christmas Open House
WHEN: 4-7 p.m. today
WHAT: Governor's Mansion and Lace House open to the public. The houses have been decorated for the holidays by the Columbia Garden Club.
WHERE: Richland and Lincoln streets.
TICKETS: Free and open to the public. No reservations necessary.
ALSO: The Carillon Carolers will sing a holiday welcome. A special gingerbread house created by mansion Chef Geoffrey Sandifer will be on display.
Camden Candlelight Tour of Homes
WHEN: 3-8 p.m. Dec. 12
WHAT: Ten historic homes and buildings in Camden on tour. Begins at Camden Archives and Museum, 1314 Broad St.

Christmas at Kensington Mansion
WHEN: 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday
WHAT: 1850s mansion decked out for the holidays . Carriage rides, food, tours , more.
WHERE: U.S 601 at S.C. 764, Eastover
TICKETS: $5 for adults; $2.50 for children 10 and up
ALSO: Tours of the mansion will be held 9:30 and 11 a.m., and 1 and 2:30 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays in December. Closed on Christmas.

WHAT: Seven homes decorated for the holidays on tour. Friday tour is a candlelight tour.
TICKETS: Advance tickets are $15 until 2 p.m. Friday. Day of tour tickets available at the homes for $18. Every person must have a ticket, including children.

Holiday House Tour and Tea
WHEN: 1-7 p.m. Saturday
WHAT: Six homes on tour
TICKETS: $10, available starting at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Alice Boyle Garden Center, 842 W. Liberty St. Tea will be served at the garden center from 3-5 p.m.
