Louis Derozan looked around the Columbia restaurant scene and decided that there weren’t enough quality vegetarian options available.
So he and partner Wanda P decided to create their own restaurant, The Reizod Vegan Experience, set to open March 20. The restaurant, located at 110 Columbia NE Drive near the entrance to the Spring Valley subdivision on Two Notch Road, will serve a menu that spans vegan renditions of soul food, American Indian and raw cuisine.
Derozan is working out the final menu but says it will be 100percent vegan.
One of the items sure to please is the collard wrap, featured on The Reizod Vegan Experience Facebook page. The wrap features collard leaves stuffed with sauteed sweet potatoes, garbanzo beans, black beans, avocado, sprouts and vegan cheese.
