The Island Packet and The Beaufort Gazette (sister newspapers to The State) are working on an ambitious, interactive graphic highlighting the 10 best places in the Lowcountry to go birdwatching. And we want you to help us tell the story.
We’re seeking photos taken by readers at each of the 10 sites. We’ve pulled some of the best submissions to Untamed Lowcountry’s weekly galleries for inclusion in this project, but we’re running a bit low of photos from a few sites. At the risk of spoiling the surprise, we’re seeking photos from:
Grove Plantation/Ernest Hollings ACE Basin NWR
Bear Island WMA
Webb Wildlife Center WMA
Fish Haul Creek/Mitchelville Beach
If you have photos of birds taken at any of these areas and would like to submit them for consideration, email them to Managing Editor Jeff Kidd at firstname.lastname@example.org. You must own rights to the photo(s) you submit and grant the newspaper non-exclusive rights to publish them. We can’t compensate you, but all published photos will be credited to the owner/photographer.
Help us show off some of the best sights Mother Nature has to offer in the Lowcountry, and keep an eye out for the completed graphic in the weeks ahead.
