GOD CARES URBAN INITIATIVE 5K RUN/WALK: 8 a.m. Saturday at Finlay Park, 930 Laurel St. Proceeds benefit the C.A.R.E. (Community Assistance Resource Enhancement) voucher program, which allows people in need to purchase clothing, appliances and furniture at God Cares Thrift Centers.
