Mr. and Mrs. John C. Godwin of Lexington are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Louise Godwin, to Joseph David Holliday, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Holliday of Lebanon, Kentucky.
The bride-elect, a resident of Columbia, is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Curtis H. Godwin of Lexington, the late Austin C. Stanford of Minnesota and the late Gladys H. Stanford of Columbia. A 2007 graduate of White Knoll High School, she earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of South Carolina Aiken in 2011. She is employed with Palmetto Health Richland as a registered nurse.
The bridegroom-elect, a resident of Columbia, is the grandson of Tommy Young and the late BettySue Young of Kentucky and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Holliday of Michigan. He is a 2005 graduate of Marion County High School in Lebanon, Kentucky, and a 2009 graduate of the Kentucky Law Enforcement Academy. He is employed with the U.S. Army as a staff sergeant stationed at Fort Jackson.
The couple plan an August wedding in Charleston.
