Lil' Gaga makes big impression on 'Maury'

She may only stand 4 feet tall, but there's no way you're going to be able to overlook Lil' Gaga dancing in a form-fitting blue-sequined leotard.

Columbia native Margaret "Maxie" Feverstein will perform her impersonation of Lady Gaga, the pop star with an outrageous persona, on "Maury" at 11 a.m. Thursday.

"I absolutely adore her," Feverstein said of Lady Gaga. "She's just a unique artist and a great entertainer.

"I like how she takes risks in her performance."

How about the wreath Gaga wore at the MTV Video Music Awards?

"I thought she looked like an Eskimo," Feverstein said. "That was pretty out there."

On "Maury," Feverstein is competing for the title of "Maury's Most Talented Little Person," the episode a departure from DNA revelations and sexual trysts. She performs Gaga's hit "Just Dance." Viewers can vote at www.mauryshow.com through Oct. 21.

Feverstein, a Richland Northeast High School graduate who is in her 20s, has been doing tribute acts for a few years. In 2008 she lived in Las Vegas and worked at a show called "Little Legends." She's also fronted a band named Mini Kiss.

Right now, Feverstein performs on the weekends. During the week, she studies psychology at Coastal Carolina University. While she doesn't wear a wreath on "Maury," Feverstein does have a touch of Gaga flair: a zigzag lighting bolt painted on her face.

"I love impersonating her," she said. "I thought it'd be a really good idea to be a little version of her."

And, like Gaga, she's hard to miss.
