Woman shot outside club

A woman was shot outside of a Northeast Richland club early Saturday morning, the Richland County Sheriff's Department reported.

Deputies responded at 2:35 a.m. to a call about shots fired outside Club Essence, 8605 Two Notch Road. The fight started inside the club.

A woman was shot in the lower body, a sheriff's department spokeswoman said. Her injuries are not life-threatening.

The shooting is still under investigation.
